Bull Whips
Bull whips are some of the most common whips on the market. These whips measure from 2ft-15ft in length. Bull whips are one piece, measured from the Turks head to the hitch knot; the fall and cracker is not included in the length. Keep in mind a 4ft whip can measure over 5.5 ft in length. Our standard bull whip is built on a steel pipe handle and shot bag, followed by an 8 plait braided belly, and 12 plait overlay. Finished with a 5x6 Turks head knot and Spanish ring knot for the transition. The Double Belly 4ft will have the same core followed by two braided bellies one of 8 plait and the second in 12 plait. The overlay will be 16 plait. Double belly bull whips tend to be heavier, thicker in the handle, and more responsive.
We also offer wood handled bull whips as well. The Handles are hand made here in Texas using a variety of reclaimed and exotic hard woods. Handles are made to order, please allow at least a month to complete. These whips are 100% custom from start to finish. Once you have one nobody will ever have another like yours.
